We at Rocket Restorations are heading down to the Fall Fling Mopar show in Van Nuys, California this weekend and hit some wrecking yards heading south.
In Northern California we found this real 340 Auto FY1 Yellow 1971 Plymouth Duster just sitting in a wrecking yard. We tried to buy the car but they said the paperwork had already been turned into the DMV and they would not sell the car whole. So many good parts on this one, it is still complete with the 340 motor and small block 727 transmission. They are selling parts off of it, but the car will have to be crushed, so sad. Why couldn’t you get a salvaged title ? Just takes a brake inspection and vin check. You can still insure it and its not any less wanted 🙁 it’s sad
what a shame some of my most favorite memories were in my 70 340 auto Duster with high back bucket seats center console I would give anything to have it again
Unfortunately California has a lot of stupid people who make and support stupid laws. What junkyard is this car in? There are plenty of people interested in the parts from this car.
