Jay Leno Drives a 1969 Dodge Polara 440 Cop Car
Leno didn’t seem too impressed with the old C-barge, but I think it’s cool! After all, “it’s got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It’s got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It’s a model made before catalytic converters so it’ll run good on regular gas.” Video after the jump!
Reader’s Rides: Dash Patterson’s 1973 Dodge Dart
Talk about low mile survivors–Dash’s Dart has just 4,691 miles on the clock! The car has been in storage most of its life. It’s a 318 column shift auto car and the interior is like new. It was originally a Washington state car but now resides in Australia with Dash. More pics after the jump!

Hotchkis Autocross at Carlisle
The guys at Hotchkis seem to think that autocross isn’t just for Miatas. So once again, they will be hosting the autocross at the 2013 Carlisle Chrysler Nationals. And yes, the Hotchkis Taxi will be there as well. Check out the video from last year after the jump!
Win Two Plum Crazy Hemi Dodge Challengers
Here’s another opportunity to win a cool Mopar. Actually, two of them: Hemi Plum Crazy Dodge Challengers, new and old. Oh, and they give you cash, too, so you can actually keep them instead of selling them to pay Uncle Sam! All proceeds go to to support children’s charities. More at winthemopars.com Thanks to Darren for the tip!
2013 SRT Viper Sets Track Record For a Production Car at High Plains Raceway
High Plains Raceway in Deer Trail, Colorado is a mile above sea level, which typically accounts for a 15 percept loss of horsepower. But a bone stock 2013 SRT Viper seemed to do just fine here, setting a new track record for a production car. This red car was a base SRT with just the Track Pack, which includes two-piece brake rotors, lighter wheels and Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires. SRT engineer Erich Heuschele set a record time of 1:57.69 on the 15-turn, 2.5-mile road course. Take that GT-R and ZR1! Check out the video after the jump! Via SRT

Beautiful Black 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T
Saw this beautiful black 1970 Challenger R/T on Speedhunters, where they are having a little poll to pick the best car from the 70s. The Challenger is currently in third place–behind a Datsun and a Porsche. Maybe you guys should go over and vote.
Movie Mopar of the Week: 1969 Dodge Coronet from Dog Day Afternoon
Man, there are a TON of Mopars in this movie. From the 1969 Dodge Coronet 4-door that Al Pacino and the rest of robbers drive to the bank, to all the cop cars. You can see the full list at IMCDB and check out the trailer after the jump!
George Washington Drove a Dodge Challenger
Dodge produced this ad for the Dodge Challenger in 2010 before the USA played England in the World Cup. I thought I’d post it just in case any of you guys missed the first time around. And even if you’ve already seen it, it’s worth seeing again, especially on the 4th! Video after the jump!
