3.6L Pentastar Engine Recall

Chrysler is recalling more than 900,000 vehicles for two separate defects. The 3.6L engine, when combined with the 160 amp alternator, may pose a fire hazard. Vehicles affected include the 300, Charger, Challenger, Durango and Grand Cherokee. Wranglers equipped with heated mirrors are also being recalled due to a possible fire hazard. European Spec Jeep Cherokee Diesel Review

The UK’s Auto Express tested the new Jeep Cherokee equipped with the 2.0 liter diesel, an engine not available stateside. While the engine was deemed to be lacking in refinement when pushed, they gave it high marks for its off-road capabilities, i’s high-tech cabin and for being a top safety pick.
