Curious Yellow 1971 Plymouth ‘Cuda Convertible on eBay

Beautiful Curious Yellow 383 car with a white interior and big billboards! The only thing that would make this better would be a 4-speed and a Hemi! Seller claims it to be a rust free California car, totally restored and documented and rated by Galen Govier a 1.4 out of 6 (1 being the best). This is a super rare car: it’s one of just 374 Cuda convertibles built in 1971 and one of just 87 automatic 383 convertibles. The Buy It Now price is set at $198,630. Worth it? Check out a ton more pics plus the eBay auction text after the jump!

THIS CUDA WAS BORN LIKE YOU SEE IT AND IT IS PROBABLY THE BEST RESTORED 383 CUDA CONVERTIBLE IN THE WORLD!

For the 1971 model year, there were only 128 Cuda Convertibles built with the 383 Super Commando engine for sale in the U.S. Of these, 87 were equipped with the Automatic Transmission. Including all engine types (340, 383, 440-6, 426 Hemi) and exports, there were only 374 Cuda convertibles built for 1971 (292 for the US), with around 210 of the 374 total known to exist today. There are approximately only 90 of the 1971 383 Cuda Convertibles known to exist today. Counting all 292 US Cuda Converibles built in 1971 cars, only 31 were GY3 Curious Yellow. There were no GY3 Hemi convertibles built, only one GY3 440-6pack convert, the remaining 30 of them had either a 340 or 383 engine most were equiped with 340’s. Around 14 of them had 383’s. Only two of these vehicles are coded for factory Billboards, and only ONE has a white interior (this one). 80% of ALL ‘Cudas had black interiors, less than 10% of them had white interiors. This is probably the ONLY 1971 ‘Cuda Convertible 383-Super Commando in Curious Yellow with a white interior, and Black Billboard. Very few High Impact Color Big Block Cuda Convertibles were built. Curious Yellow was available only in 1971.

The Galen Govier Detailed Inspection Report gave the car an overall Grade of 1.4, one being perfect and 6 being the worst. I corrected some of the items, such as replacing the spare tire. One other interesting thing in the report is a factory mistake that was noted. The car is missing the rear torque boxes. Did it have anything to do with the Special Handling and the PR use of the vehicle?? Who knows! But probably just an oversight during the build!

If you are looking for a very rare perfect condition factory 71 Cuda Convertible without spending over a million dollars here is your chance to get one.

I will consider only e-body convertible or Viper trades plus lots of additional cash.
