Neglected Field Find: Five 1962 Chryslers

We just found these five 1962 Chrysler’s in Bellingham, Washington.  Not sure why somebody would let these things sit in a swampy area for 15 years but it happened.  We just saved these from going to the crusher and the cars are:

  • 1962 Chrysler 300H
  • 1962 Chrysler 300 Sport 413 2 Door Hardtop
  • 1962 Chrysler 300 2 Door Hardtop with a 383
  • 1962 Chrysler Newport that is an original black car
  • 1962 Chrysler New Yorker 4 Door

See more pictures below.  What would you do with these?  They are pretty rough.

  1. Had one of these in high school, and courted my wife of 41 years in one. My brother wrecked it and it was probably turned into toasters..

I’d take the 5 and make one good one from the best one. Might ever be able to make two… Love these cars and the body style. Always wanted another but could never find one that someone didn’t think belonged on Barret-Jackson. Hope someone gets some good out of them and kudos to you all for saving them.

Best to ya. Keep us posted on what happens..
    Appreciate it

    • Hello Tom,
I own a ’62 Chrysler & would be interested in some parts. I would like to hear from you. Thanks

  2. Man, you could sell the heck out of parts I bet…….or try to craigslist or ebay them……I’d be interested in parts myself as well as many others….

  3. I am looking for right and left fenders in decent shape and a 300 grill for a 1962 300h Newyorker. Email me if you have these cars still I an interested in some parts as well.

  4. Although I had never been particulaly interested in ’62s before I found mine, it has grown on me over the course of the last 6 years and become part of the family! My Newport 2dr ht. was a survivor (barely) when I found it including the original 361 2bbl, 3spd standard trans, original interior and original paint excluding the trunk lid. I would be very interested in some parts if you were to decide to part out any of the remainder of the cars that you don’t build.
