After several reports that the Avenger was going away, new rumors suggest that the Avenger will live on as a performance-oriented, real wheel drive four door on a platform shared with Alfa Romeo. At the same time, Allpar is saying that Barracuda name will not be making a return. If these rumors are true, I think this is good news. Avenger is a perfectly decent name, and Barracuda makes little sense now that Plymouth is gone.

That seems to be the gist of this recent article at Ward’s Auto. Trucks are now Ram. We know the Avenger is going away. The minivans may end up being exclusive to Chrysler.
