Plymouth Superbird on Craigslist

Being a rare bird, numbers matching Superbirds don’t come up for sale very often. How about what appears to be a survivor popping up on Craigslist? Barn Finds located this one for sale in New York while also providing fair warning (rightly so) to be wary of scams. Find the original Craigslist ad here. More pics after the jump!

Incredible Winged Car Collection

Hot Rod’s Ryan Brutt visited an incredible winged warrior collection in AL. It seems the owner took a serious interest in Daytonas and Superbirds as well as Cyclones and Talladegas during that magical period known as the NASCAR Aero Wars. And we mean serious! Find more info at Hot Rod. More pics after the jump!

Richard Petty’s 1970 Superbird Rides again

Richard Petty seems to have a soft spot for the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Last June, the King lapped Goodwood in his 1966 Daytona winning Belvedere. Find that video here. This year the plan is to drive his 1970 Superbird! He recently gave his Goodwood friends a tour of his North Carolina shop and a spin in his 1970 winged warrior. Find more info at Street Legal TV. Tuesday at Barrett-Jackson

Tuesday is normally not a super exciting day at Barrett-Jackson, but since Barrett was selling the majority of the Ron Pratte collection that night, the room was full and the bidding was crazy. Ron is a big time collector in the Phoenix area and had been buying high end cars at Barrett-Jackson for years. He decided to liquidate his collection through BJ and it was very fun to watch. This included two Hemi Mopars that did very well. The first car up was a 1970 Dodge Charger with a 426 Hemi and a 4-speed. Bidding was furious and shot up to $190,000 right away–unseen levels for a Hemi B-Body. It ended up at $200,000. Here is a picture of the car:
