I think those guys need a steering box if they say they can move the wheel that much before it turns….oh…forgot..unless they all have manual steering, then add power steering…also these cars ride smooth ..handle great..sure they don’t handle like a Viper, but then again these drive smoother and have more room..Yes,I own a 2001 Viper GTS as well, yep had one sold it..bought it back again after 3 years and only 700 more miles,as the guy needed cash lol….
Mine turns fine, own and owned over 30 1965-1974 Mopar’s…from b,c and e bodies and one a body..My current baby..’68 440 Charger RT is driven almost every day(have a couple other older Mopar’s), if I didn’t have to park my ride in a place where I couldn’t see it all day,I would take it to work everyday..own my own business and here and there all day,I do take it at least once a week when I know it will be safe, and that’s a 90 mile round trip!!
It is very reliable, and it handles awesome, the basically stock 440 Magnum, better carb purple cam, runs low 12’s with 3.23 gears and 235 70 15 all the way around and never does overheat …get your rad fixed, and fixed again if you overheat..I got mine rebuilt it overheated still because it was still plugged…took it back they redid it for free of coarse…
True, what they say…people should learn how to drive in a older car,no abs that keep you straight (these with power disk front brakes stopped good even back in the day with 124 foot 60-0 distance with bias ply tires) But no traction control,no abs,no over steer automatic correction that cars have today..you make a mistake you better know how to drive to correct it..today people are lazy, cant drive and they text/talk on the phone and just don’t pay attention..another reason why people don’t drive these older cars daily..too many bad drivers..
$10,454.53 is what he paid for the car in 1976…in todays dollars..
So, people always think WOW !!! He paid only $2500 today you can only find a good condition 2003 Dodge Neon for $2500 !!
Well, NO ! it is like buying a $10,454 dollar car today, just saying, because people always say things were so, so cheap then .. well.. not really… afterall nobody knew these would be collector cars..Yep,up early ..who says being a business owner is easy ! Up late up early..oh well it pays for my addiction of MOPAR !
