The SRT guys recently took the new Viper over to Livernois Motorsports in Dearborn, Michigan for a bit of testing. The results for the SRT V-10 were a very impressive 558 horsepower at the wheels and 526 lb.-ft.of torque. (Keep in mind that at-the-wheels numbers are usually 15 percent lower due to driveline losses, so these numbers are very much in keeping with the factory numbers of 640-horsepower at 6,200 rpm and 600 lb.-ft. of torque.) This World War II era Willys was sent to support the US Army ini Sicily in 1943. Seven decades later, current owner Vittorio Argento, an Italian radio journalist, decided to bring the correctly restored Willys back to Toledo where it was born. 1971 Plymouth Duster 340 NHRA Stock Eliminator on eBay
Here’s another great find by the guys at BangShift. This is a real factory 340 car, built right for the NHRA Stock Eliminator class. It’s not street legal now but could easily be made street legal again. Currently runs low 11s and seems like a lot of car for the money with a Buy It Now of $15,900. More pics plus the eBay auction text after the jump!

Is Fiat-Chrysler Planning to Kill Dodge?
That seems to be the gist of this recent article at Ward’s Auto. Trucks are now Ram. We know the Avenger is going away. The minivans may end up being exclusive to Chrysler. So that only leaves the Dart, Journey, Charger, Durango and Challenger with no new models planned. What do you think? Is Ward’s just trying to grab some headlines?

National Geographic has a series called Ultimate Factories, and in this 2011 episode they took a close look at the Brampton, Ontario plant where the Dodge Challenger is built, along with the Saltillo, Mexico plant where the Hemi is built. The Challenger, which shares the line with the Charger and 300, takes just 20 hours to go from raw steel to a running, driving Mopar. Watch the entire process in the 45 minute episode after the jump!
