Running on Empty is an Australian cult car movie from 1982 which featured a pretty wild 1970 Dodge Challenger. Well, that car is on eBay now, and the seller claims it’s a numbers matching 440 6-pack car, too! Obviously it’s a right-hand drive car, and the Buy It Now is $149,000 Australian (about $137,000 US dollars). Lots more pics after the jump, along with the original movie, which someone uploaded to YouTube in its entirety. So check out the pics and then make some popcorn and watch!

Second 2013 Mopar Top Eliminator Selected: Bill Mann’s 1970 Dodge Charger
The second Mopar Top Eliminator was selected at the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals this weekend! Bill Man’s Plum Crazy 1970 Dodge Charger joins Miles Watsko’s 1964 Plymouth Savoy as a 2013 Mopar Top Eliminator winner. Just two more winners will be picked this year: a third at the Indianapolis NHRA U.S. Nationals events and a fourth will be selected online. Congrats Bill! More pics after the jump! Via the Mopar Facebook page.
Update: just added some more pics from the thread on dodgecharger.com. Definitely check the thread: sounds like it was a total surprise to Bill!
Limelight 1970 Plymouth Superbird Before and After
This Limelight 1970 Plymouth Superbird turned up at the 2013 Carlisle Chrysler Nationals fully restored and looking great. But it sure looked rough in 2011–just check out the before pics after the jump! Via Moparts
Shut Down King: Ronnie Sox
BangShift just posted this awesome grainy old school video from 1966. A must-see for any Mopar fan. There’s some footage of the 1966 Winternationals with Ronnie Sox. Then watch a 4-speed Hemi 1966 Plymouth Satellite go up against the best of the era: 1966 Ford Fairlane 390, 1966 Pontiac GTO 389 and 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle 396. Can you guess which wins? Video after the jump!
Hemi Yugo
Look what drove into a car show in Missouri this weekend: a Hemi Yugo! Yeah, it’s a fake, but it’s a cool fake. Two more pics after the jump! Via Moparts
Update: Just added two more pics from the Street Machine Nationals in Du Quoin, Illinois–thanks to Robert Zalewski!
Win Tim McGraw’s Dodge Challenger SRT
If there’s a chance to win a cool Mopar, we figure you guys want to know about it. This month Pennzoil has a free contest to win the Tim McGraw Two Lanes of Freedom custom Dodge Challenger SRT. So go to Pennzoil and enter. Who knows, maybe you’ll win.
Reader’s Rides: Sebastian Kraft’s 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T
Sebastian bought this very original looking California car in Hamburg, Germany, and it currently resides with him in Dresden. Can you imagine this burly American muscle on German roads? Must scare the crap out of AMGs and Porsches. It’s a numbers matching 4-speed 383 car. Sebastian added a Magnaflow X-pipe for a little extra growl. You may notice from the pics that he also owns a 1968 Dodge Charger…

Cool Rallye Green A12 Road Runner Project on eBay
You’re looking at a numbers matching 4-speed Rallye Green 1969 1/2 Plymouth Road Runner. It originally came with a white top and white interior. How cool is that? Yes, it is rough–just look at the shot of the door after the jump–and probably overpriced, but it would be an awesome project for someone–it could end up looking like this when done. It didn’t sell on eBay for the $35,000 Buy It Now, and apparently it is now sitting at Carlisle with a $39,000 asking price. More pics after the jump!
1973 Dodge Charger “Daytona” on eBay
Here’s another weird Daytona conversion for you guys. Two weeks ago I showed you this 1974 Dodge Charger “Daytona” on Craigslist. Well here’s a ’73 that was listed on eBay last week. Looks like it was bid up to $4,000 with the reserve not met. I don’t know, I’m thinking the seller should have taken the money and run. Check out more pics after the jump, including pics of the interior with what looks like an A-body center console.
First Random Snapshots from the 2013 Carlisle Chrysler Nationals
Tom from Rocket Restorations just sent me these snapshots he took with his phone. These are pure gold for any Mopar lover. Love this green Coronet R/T. Wish I was there! More pics after the jump!
