This 1970 Challenger T/A is still wearing the same paint job it raced with in 1970. With only 3,103 miles, most everything else is original too! Immediately after it was purchased, it was prepared for the drag strip. Apparently, due to a falling out between the owner and the builder, the car’s track days were very limited. The paint, the rake, the wheels and tires–just perfect. See it here on eBay. More pictures after the jump!

Vintage Mopar NASCAR Photo of the Week: Richard Petty’s 67 Plymouth Belvedere at Bristol Speedway
We have another great vintage Richard Petty photo this week. The picture is from the 1967 Bristol race, most likely the spring one. The car is up on jack stands and even in the B&W picture you can tell it has chrome rims. The car is also pretty naked of stickers so you can tell this is from practice a day or two before the actual race.
The Charger Pursuit is Officially the Fastest Cop Car
I’m not sure if this is good news or bad new but the Charger Pursuit, equipped with the 370 horse 5.7 Hemi, is the fastest police car on the market, both in RWD and AWD. Both cars clocked their record setting times at Michigan’s Grattan Raceway with the Michigan State Police behind the wheel. In my book it also wins the Best Looking Police Package award. Find the full story here in CarBuzz. More pictures after the jump.
1967 Plymouth GTX 4-Speed on Detroit Craigslist
This cool ’67 GTX has been sitting in a garage in Detroit since 1979. I’m digging the 70s paint. Just 57,000 miles. More pics plus Craigslist ad text after the jump!

Jesse James’ 1969 Plymouth Road Runner on eBay
Not sure when Sandra Bullock’s ex-husband/West Coast Choppers guy Jesse James got this Road Runner or whether he ever did anything with it, but it is kind of cool, in a junky, funky retro drag-car kinda way. Claimed to have once been a “ten second car,” though “stoner’s dream car” seems like a more accurate description. Wonder what it will go for? eBay ad text plus tons of pics after the jump!
1,350 Horsepower Dodge Viper
Have you been considering a new Viper but you’re a little disappointed with the stock power output? One man’s answer was to turn to RSI Racing Solutions. They built this twin turbo V10 monster pushing 1350 HP on race gas, 1000 HP on pump gas. That should be more than adequate. See more details here at Car Buzz. More pictures after the jump.
Would You Put an Air Grabber on a 1969 Dodge Charger?
I’m not sure I would, but this guy did. Check out the listing for this 1969 Dodge Charger on Craigslist, and see one more pics after the jump! Thanks to Mike for the tip!
2014 Challenger to Get Launch Control
The Challenger will continue into 2014 with no major changes. One welcome addition, available on the 470 hp SRT8, will be launch control. Launch control is already available on the Camaro ZL1 and Shelby GT500. Just like back in the day, Chrysler still seems to be playing catch-up! The V6 model also gets new suspension and appearance packages consisting of 20-inch wheels, performance tires, 3:07 rear-end gearing, steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, a sport suspension, bigger brakes, and a new “Sport” shifting mode for the transmission.
