Mike Musto’s Mopars
I’ve known Mike for several years now and got to drive the Daytona shortly after he finished the build. Last year, Mike devoted an episode of Big Muscle to his ’68 Charger and his ’69 Daytona, and with over half a million views, I’d say people like his old B-bodies. Check out the episode after the jump!
1966 Dodge Charger Daytona Conversion at the Woodward Dream Cruise
This is the fourth strange Dayotona conversion we’ve shown you recently. If you missed the others there was the 1974 Charger Daytona convertion, the 1973 Charger Daytona conversion and the 1969 Coronet Daytona conversion. This 1966 Charger Daytona spotted at the Woodward Dream Cruise oddly works better than most. What do you think? Via the Dodge Facebook page
Reader’s Rides: Gregory Torfin’s 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8
Today’s reader’s ride is a highly-modified 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 owned by Gregory Torfin of Olympia, Washginton. It is car number 4501 of 6400 produced that year. Writes Gregory: “I stood at the dealer’s door to order this car in December of 2007…..and have smiled every day since! It’s pushing 775 RWHP and 760 RWTQ @ 12 PSI on 92 Octane and Running Out at 10.3’s at 4550 LBS wet!” More pics plus a full list of mods after the jump!
Next Avenger to be Rear Wheel Drive?
After several reports that the Avenger was going away, new rumors suggest that the Avenger will live on as a performance-oriented, real wheel drive four door on a platform shared with Alfa Romeo. At the same time, Allpar is saying that Barracuda name will not be making a return. If these rumors are true, I think this is good news. Avenger is a perfectly decent name, and Barracuda makes little sense now that Plymouth is gone.
Mopar Album Cover: Big Sugar Hit and Run
This is the album cover for the Canadian band Big Sugar’s greatest hits album Hit and Run. Hard to go wrong with a 1970 Dodge Charger! Check out the back after the jump!
Watch a Sox and Martin Duster do a Wheelstand and then Ride Down the Rail!
This happened almost ten years ago. Car is owned by Hemi Fred. Check out his save after the jump!
Movie Mopar of the Week: 1970 Plymouth ‘Cuda from Two Lane Blacktop
The famous line is “That Plymouth had a Hemi with a Torqueflite,” but it appears to be an AAR ‘Cuda. And yeah, there’s a Daytona, too. Check out the opening scene after the jump!
