Heard of the Olympia Charger? This NASCAR Dodge ran the 24 hours of Le Mans back in 1976. It then returned in 2006 for the Le Mans Classic and has gone back several times since then! I have some great video from its run in the rain last year after the jump!
Hotchkis has done a lot over the years to help Mopars go around corners (Mopars don’t need a whole lot of help when it comes to going in a straight line). And their E-Max Challenger is a rolling example of everything they can do. Check out a cool video on this wicked E-body after the jump!
Jon Sibal’s 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T is probably more famous in the import community that it is in the Mopar community. With the matte black wrap and gold SSR wheels, it has been featured extensively on Speedhunters and of course Jon’s own blog. Hey guys, we’re going to be taking a much needed break next week–time for a bit of R & R and family time. We will continue to post one cool story per day but will essentially be on auto pilot. Edmunds, a site best known for minivan comparisons and new car shopping tools for non-enthusiasts, is trying to pick a fight with Ralph Gilles in Twitter. The Edmunds people have scheduled a comparison test with the new C7 Corvette and claim that Ralph is “scared” to send the new Viper. Ralph claims all the Vipers are booked right now, owing to “Pebble beach, ALMS, Dream Cruise, peak time.. many shows, simply that time of year..” Scott Oldham counters that Ralph is “full of sh##.” Ralph Gilles replies “we are out of cars and clearly told you one is coming next month. Why are you being an A##” and “I am dissapionted with your aggression…” You can read the full exchange on Twitter.
Does Edmunds think this kind of thing helps their credibility or will increase their readership? Ultimately, I agree with Ralph that, while it will be interesting, “I don’t understand how an ultra low volume 180hp more powerful exotic needs to be compared?” At the end of the day Mopar people buy Vipers and Chevy people buy Corvettes. And arguments on Twitter are lame.

Mark’s Road Runner has a lift off hood due to the high rise intake. You might notice he also has a 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8 and a Hemi Durango. Nice combo!
