1965 Plymouth Sport Fury Indy Pace Car For Sale on Hemmings
1965 was the first (and last) year that a Plymouth was selected as the Indianapolis 500 pace car. The chosen model was the Sport Fury convertible. There were 35 actual pace cars built for the race. Plymouth also produced one replica for each dealership in the country. That number varies between 1,300 and 1,900, depending on who you believe. See a very nice replica for sale on Hemmings. 1969 Dodge Sweptline with Cummins Power
Check out the picture below. A nice, clean 1969 Dodge Sweptline survivor that’s probably driven by some old guy, right? You’d only be right about the old guy part. The owner has highly modified his truck to allow him to tow his 53′ boat. Under the hood is a 12 valve Cummins that is sending power to a dually setup thru a 5-speed Spicer transmission which is also backed by a 10-speed Road Ranger like you’d find in a big rig. A Slant Six Gathering
Often referred to as bullet proof, the Chrysler slant 6 engine has developed quite a loyal following. In production from 1960 to 1991, it powered many different vehicles, including this 1963 Valiant. A recent Slant Six Gathering in San Francisco brought together more than 50 Chrysler vehicles powered by the straight 6 engine with the 30 degree slant. Big Block 1968 Plymouth Sport Satellite Project Car on Craigslist
So what if you don’t live on the West Coast orin the Southwest, you don’t have a lot of money and yet you want an affordable 68-70 B-body project. Good luck, right? Well, if you are patient, good things do come along from time to time. Like this cool numbers-matching big block 1968 Sport Satellite on Cleveland Craigslist. It’s been garaged since ’78, doesn’t seem too rusty and has a great color combo. More pics plus ad text after the jump!

1969 Dodge charger rt/se bought from a guy in alberta Canada in 1998 october.took six years to restore.Original 440 car motor and tranny long gone but a real RT/SE triple black car.and almost rust free.am/8 track,ps,pb,pw,rear defrost.I couldn’t see putting a 440 back in it so I had My good friend Lennie Balek build a 477 in hemi that I put in the car along with a real 1968 hemi trans motor has all the best parts with 10.22 compression ss rods and pistons you can get the picture(LOL) frame is tied in has Dana with 3.54 tti headers which I don’t like never fit right.

Mr. Norm’s Hemi Dart Crosses the Auction Floor
At Mecum’s Illinois auction last week, a 1968 Hemi Dart that was sold new through Mr. Norm’s Chicago dealership 45 years ago sold for $125,000. Chrysler produced 80 Hemi Darts in 1968 with the help of Hurst, and Norm Krause’s Grand Spaulding Dodge dealership reportedly sold 13 of them! These were lightweight cars made for one purpose–to own the drag strip. A Hemi said to be pushing 600 hp in a 3150 lb car? Yep, sounds about right! Read more at StreetLegalTV.
