Wellborn Muscle Car Museum Thinning the Herd
Tim Wellborn has amassed an incredible collection of muscle cars over the years. At Mecum’s Kissimmee auction in January, half of his 46 cars will be crossing the auction block. With his first taste of muscle cars being his father’s 1971 Dodge Charger, he has always held Mopars in high esteem. Of the 23 cars going to auction, 15 are Mopars! Find more info of these very special cars at Hemmngs. Pics of Tim’s Dodges and Plymouths that will be leaving his collection after the jump!
Nelson Racing Widebody 1968 Charger Returns to SEMA
We showed you this car last year. Now it’s back and badder than ever. But even with over 2,000 hours in that body–which is six inches wider than stock–it’s still not quite done… Oh, and regarding the motor: the 9.4 liter Hemi is rated at over 2,000 horsepower. More pics after the jump!
1965 Dodge Coronet A/FX Super Stock for Sale
A true A/FX Super Stock race car, this Coronet was first raced as JC Penny’s “Penny Pincher.” Reggie Jackson was a former owner and the car has spent the last ten years at the World of Speed exhibit at Wayne Lensing’s Historic Auto Attractions Museum in Roscoe, IL. It appears this car was recently purchased at Barrett Jackson’s Scotttsdale auction in January 2014 for $73,700 and is now for sale with an asking price of $150,000. Find more info on the current sate at Hemmings. More pics after the jump!
1967 Plymouth GTX Reunited With Original 440
Head on over to MoparMax Magazine and read the story behind this 1967 GTX. It left the factory as a 440 4-speed car. A previous owner dropped in a 426 Hemi from a 1970 Super Bee but the current owner was able to track down and purchase the car’s original 440. More pics after the jump!
Original Paint B5 Blue 4-Speed 1969 Plymouth Road Runner on eBay
Unrestored Mopars are getting harder and harder find. And this one comes with a very cool story. More pics plus eBay auction text after the jump! I’m not sure how long this one will last with a Buy It Now of $19,500. If you are looking for an original 4-speed car, you might want to jump on this one!
Mopar Treasure Yard
Hot Rod magazine’s Ryan Brutt stumbled upon a shop that appears to specialize in Mopars. While the exterior looks like a graveyard, given the fact that the shop houses restored Mopars, one can only hope that these diamonds in the rough are only biding their time until they shine again. Find more info at Hot Rod. More pics after the jump!

1966 Dodge Coronet Moonshine Runner
Recipe for a car to run moonshine: 1. A big block Mopar (of course) in a nondescript color. 2. Extra rear leaf springs to maintain a stock ride height when laden down with moonshine. 3. A rear light disconnect switch for running in stealth mode. Bring A Trailer is featuring this 1966 4-speed Hemi Coronet that once belonged to moonshine runner Wily Clay Call. The 426 is not original but all else appears to be. Now I’ve got that Steve Earl song in my head. Find the original ad DC Classic Cars. More pics after the jump!
1964 Dodge Polara Max Wedge for Sale
Bring A Trailer has highlighted a very nice Polara with a killer motor. Not a 100 point restoration, it would make for a fun driver. This one appears to have been on the market for a few years, judging by the various videos. Is the $34,900 asking price the reason? More pics and videos after the jump!
