2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Sound Clip
While it may only be a short clip of an idling Challenger, that burble sounds way too sweet to be a run-of-the-mill, normally aspirated Hemi. Hellcat anyone? Find the story at The Fast Lane Car. Video after the jump!
Ram Overtakes Chevrolet in Sales
Since 2000, the monthly total pickup sales order has been Ford, Chevrolet and then Dodge/Ram. Not this past March. Ram passed Chevrolet in truck sales to take the number 2 spot. Jim Cain, a GM spokesman, was none too happy and displays poor taste with his response to the news “The 1980s called. They want their marketing strategy back…It’s really easy to deeply discount your truck, mine the subprime market and offer cheap lease deals to buy market share.” Nasty. Read more at Jalopnik.

The 13th lap saw Viper pilot Ben Keating’s car ignite after what appears to be a fuel leak. No injuries were reported and the fire crew learned to always park upwind of a burning car. Meet the HellCat Logo
SRT staff were spotted at Springfest wearing t-shirts with this logo. Presumably, this is what a HellCat looks like. Per Allpar, peak output of the new engine is rumored to beat the Viper’s V10!

So the last rumor had the debut of the new Challenger at the Southern California LX Club. That didn’t happen. The next possible venue is the New York Auto Show in mid-April but Ralph Gilles says that the car’s reveal is still two and a half months away. The Challenger, Charger and 300 are all getting a refresh for the 2015 model year. The Challenger is expected first. Find more info at Allpar.
