Hot Rod magazine’s Ryan Brutt stumbled upon a shop that appears to specialize in Mopars. While the exterior looks like a graveyard, given the fact that the shop houses restored Mopars, one can only hope that these diamonds in the rough are only biding their time until they shine again. Recipe for a car to run moonshine: 1. A big block Mopar (of course) in a nondescript color. 2. Extra rear leaf springs to maintain a stock ride height when laden down with moonshine. 3. A rear light disconnect switch for running in stealth mode. Bring A Trailer is featuring this 1966 4-speed Hemi Coronet that once belonged to moonshine runner Wily Clay Call. Bring A Trailer has highlighted a very nice Polara with a killer motor. Not a 100 point restoration, it would make for a fun driver. This one appears to have been on the market for a few years, judging by the various videos. Is the $34,900 asking price the reason? More pics and videos after the jump!
Bring A Trailer has located a pair of Mopars for sale on eBay; a 1969 Dodge Coronet R/T and a 1978 Chrysler Conqueror 115 boat! The car is a low mileage 440 4-speed with the Ramcharger cold air intake. The boat has a 115 hp Chrysler outboard and is also in great shape. They are only being sold as a pair. Bring A Trailer found this almost survivor (one repaint) 1970 Super Bee for sale in Hemmings. A 383 big block, pistol grip 4 speed priced at a negotiable $34,000. More pics after the jump!
Curbside Classic has located this 1966 Coronet on a used car lot. The author, a self-proclaimed fan of mid-sixties Mopars, takes issue with the many “custom touches” this B-body has been subjected to. We tend to agree. From the bumblebee stripe, 90’s seats and console, black grill and rather unique color, this girl needs saving! However, at an asking price of $11,000, that day may be later rather than sooner.
