Rocket Restorations

I dropped by Rocket Restorations in Olympia, Washington yesterday to say hi to my buddy Tom and look around his shop a bit. It was my first visit and I was not disappointed–he had some very cool stuff. Like an A12 Road Runner that was just about done (I would kill for this car). A beautiful freshly painted silver ’69 Charger. A Challenger SE in the middle of a somewhat challenging vinyl top install. A cool Dart GTS. A ’67 Satellite getting a fuel injection setup. A ’62 Dodge convertible that had received a ton of metal work. A few freshly rebuilt motors on stands. Tons and tons of parts. Oh, and his old Barracuda LeMons race car. These guys do great work, so if you are in the area and need help with your Mopar, give ’em a call. (Be sure to like their Facebook page, too.) See the rest of the pics after the jump!

Road Kill: 1970 Super Bee vs 1967 Camaro

The latest episode of Road Kill features David Freiburger’s very first car: a 1970 Dodge Super Bee. He paid $1,800 for it when he was fifteen. Thirty years later it’s packing a 600+ HP Hemi. Watch it go head to head against another one of Freiburger’s cars: a ’67 Camaro. Which one will come out on top? Watch the video after the jump!

Bill Goldberg 1970 Plymouth Superbird on eBay

I saw this car at SEMA back in 2008. It was built by Year One and Gillette Evernham Motorsports in conjunction with Bill Goldberg and then sold at Barrett-Jackson to benefit the Darrell Gwynn Foundation, which works to help cure spinal cord injuries. The car started life as a 1970 Plymouth Satellite but then it got the full NASCAR Superbird treatment. Power comes from a 800 hp NASCAR-spec 358cid Dodge engine. The price is set at $250,000. More pics plus the eBay auction text after the jump!
