Marv Eldridge’s 1970 LA Challenger on eBay

This historic drag car has lived many lives. It was first raced in 1969 by Fred Goseke as a 1969 Road Runner. Marv Eldridge then re-bodied it as a 1970 Challenger, named it “LA Challenger,” and participated in the 1970 Cavalcade of Stars tour. It was later sold to Bob Taylor who raced it as the “Time Machine II.” It was then sold again and raced under the name “Trail Blazer.” The current owner embarked on a complete restoration to return it to it’s Marv Eldridge’s “LA Challenger” days. Follow the eBay auction here. $95,000 and she’s yours. More pics and video after the jump!

Non Stock 1966 Dodge Coronet 440 For Sale

Curbside Classic has located this 1966 Coronet on a used car lot. The author, a self-proclaimed fan of mid-sixties Mopars, takes issue with the many “custom touches” this B-body has been subjected to. We tend to agree. From the bumblebee stripe, 90’s seats and console, black grill and rather unique color, this girl needs saving! However, at an asking price of $11,000, that day may be later rather than sooner. Find more info at Curbside Classic. More pics after the jump!

Prototype Viper Saved from the Crusher

In January, Chrysler had announced that they were crushing 93 of the very first Dodge Vipers that were built. Most of these cars were donated to technical schools and were not road legal. As Mopar Blog reported in March, South Puget Sound Community College in Olympia, Washington refused to see their car crushed and started an online petition. Well, good news. It worked! Carbuzz is reporting that, due to the petition the resulting local news coverage, Chrysler has decided not to crush the car and is currently working with the school to arrive at a solution.

1970 Dodge Challenger R/T Barn Find on eBay

Barn Finds spied this 1970 Challenger R/T survivor on eBay. It is equipped with its original 440 and 727. Reportedly last licenced in 1989, it was pulled from its tomb and given a mechanical refresh including the brakes and fuel system. They were, however, apparently careful not to remove the dust. Follow the bidding here on eBay. I wonder what kind of reserve this beauty has. More pics after the jump!

Ultra Low Mileage Dodges at Auction

Four ultra low mileage 80’s Dodge vehicles went across the block at a recent Mecum auction. The tem “low mileage” may be misleading. The 1987 Daytona has just 22 miles, the 1986 Lancer has 28 miles, the 1988 Colt Vista wagon has 41 miles, and the high mileage (for this group) 1984 Mini Ram conversion van has a whopping 71 miles! While they’re not Hemi ‘Cudas or Superbirds, these time capsules are still somewhat intriguing. Find more info at Hemmings. More pics after the jump!
