Milburn Varner’s Race Car Collection

Check out Hot Rod for the story of Milburn Varner and his collection of Mopar cars that have sat untouched since he retired from the drag strip in the early seventies. He yanked the Hemi from a 1967 Belvedere GTX convertible to transplant to his race ‘Cuda! He still has both. He refuses to sell or restore, “I ain’t sellin’ this stuff–it’s all about braggin’ rights, and the money don’t mean as much as these old cars and all of the good memories they gave me.” That’s fine in my book but still, a bit of soap and water would do wonders. More pics after the jump!

1969 AMC S/S AMX

The latest edition of Street Legal TV’s “Muscle Cars You Should Know” features the bright burning but short-lived AMC S/S AMX. How short-lived? How about only 52 cars ever built? Once built by AMC, the cars were shipped to Hurst and the engines to Crane to work their magic with 1/4 mile domination the goal. Read more info on this rare piece of AMC history at Street Legal TV. 1968 Blown Hemi Plymouth Barracuda on eBay

Check out this wild 1968 Barracuda powered by a supercharged 520 inch Hemi with zero miles since completion. Said to have over $80,000 invested, the Buy It Now price is $50,000. This is apparently the third time that it has been posted for sale. Charmed? I might want a new fuel cell though. Find more detail at Street Legal TV and be sure to check out the auction action on eBay. More pics after the jump!

1971 Dodge Demon

De·monˈ(noun) / dēmən /: “A persistently tormenting person, force, or passion”. Check out this tormenting force in the guise of a 1971 Dodge Demon. It left the factory with the 225 six cylinder and was previously owned by a little old lady. No joke. It was converted into a restomod 440 powered hot rod. Wicked! Via MoparMax Magazine. Dave Wren’s Super Stock 1970 Barracuda on eBay

After finding this Dave Wren Barracuda on eBay, and searching for more info online, it appears that the same car has been for sale many times over the years and often with the same description. it was on Carslist.co for $295,000, on CarPictures.com in 2008, and sold in June 2012 for $51,065 per CollectorCarPriceTracker.com (it’s possible that sale fell through.) A very cool car but not a lot of takers. See the auction at eBay! More pics after the jump.
