Movie Mopar of the Week: 1971 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible from The Brady Bunch

This week’s movie Mopar is the 1971 Plymouth Barracuda convertible from the Brady Bunch. It’s a plain jain B5 318 automatic car, but of course any 1971 Barracuda convertible is cool cause they made so few of them–just 722 in total. I had a hard time finding any clips with the Barracuda on YouTube, but I did manage to find one where Greg is at a drive-in with a date, only to have Bobby screw it up (along with the Barracuda’s convertible top). Check it out after the jump! 2013 Mega Mopar Car Show at Maple Grove Raceway

BangShift has tons of great pics from the 2013 Mega Mopar Car Show at Maple Grove Raceway in Mohnton, Pennsylvania this past weekend. Looks like the High Impact E-bodies were out in force! I have a few more pics after the jump (including a wicked black ’67 GTX) but you can see the rest at BangShift (and they just added some drag racing pics here). And be sure to check out the winners at maplegroveraceway.com

AAR ‘Cuda Burns

Not sure where or when this happened, all we know is it’s sad. The guys at Moparts speculate that the fire was the result of a flammable glass reproduction air cleaner assembly and rubber fuel line. Apparently the owner ran through his only fire extinguisher quickly but wasn’t able to stop the blaze. All he could do was stand there and take pics til the fire deparment showed up. More pics of the carnage after the jump!

Curious Yellow 1971 Plymouth ‘Cuda Convertible on eBay

Beautiful Curious Yellow 383 car with a white interior and big billboards! The only thing that would make this better would be a 4-speed and a Hemi! Seller claims it to be a rust free California car, totally restored and documented and rated by Galen Govier a 1.4 out of 6 (1 being the best). This is a super rare car: it’s one of just 374 Cuda convertibles built in 1971 and one of just 87 automatic 383 convertibles. The Buy It Now price is set at $198,630. Worth it? Check out a ton more pics plus the eBay auction text after the jump!

1970 Challenger 340 Convertible Barn Find

This green 4-speed 340 Challenger convertible has been sitting in a shack near San Francisco since 1978! Just 70,000 miles–it was parked when the clutch started to slip– and same owner since 1989! Right now the owner is trying to figure out what it’s worth, and whether to sell. I bet there’d be a lot of interest in this one if it did come up for sale… Tons of pics after the jump! Via Moparts
