Are you in the market for a Charger or Challenger but are wondering if you should maybe wait for the new, refreshed 2015’s? It appears Dodge is fearing this trend. They are offering a one year lease on a 2014 Charger or Challenger that can then be converted to a 36 month lease on a new, similarly priced 2015 model with no penalties and for the same lease payment. Here’s to having your cake and eating it too! Find more info at Carscoops.

The 2014 Ram Power Wagon has received many changes/upgrades, including a coil-link rear suspension, revised front suspension and the new 6.4 liter Hemi. Ram Wins All Star Honors
As reported in Allpar, Automobile magazine has chosen the Ram 1500 as a member of its 2014 All Star list, a list of their 10 favorite passenger vehicles. This is the second consecutive year that the Ram was chosen as well as four of the past five years!
Per their editors “the Ram 1500 defies the limitations of a pickup truck, continuing a spirit of innovation that began in the mid-1990s, when Chrysler introduced the big-rig grille and reinvented the way pickup trucks look. Now the Ram has the best chassis in the business, with a coil-sprung rear suspension that offers a settled ride even with an empty bed. The list of options and the refined interior rival those of a luxury car. And a new diesel engine – the only one available on a light-duty pickup—achieves the fuel economy of a mid-size crossover.”
No rebuttal from GM spokesman Jim Cain yet.
2015 Dodge Challenger Super Bee?
Jalopnik is reporting a possible Super Bee version of the 2015 Challenger, which they say will debut April 17th in New York. This instrument cluster photo was just released by Chrysler so that’s a pretty darn good indication. The Charger is also reported to receive a “full-body makeover.” Charger grill shot after the jump!
2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Sound Clip
While it may only be a short clip of an idling Challenger, that burble sounds way too sweet to be a run-of-the-mill, normally aspirated Hemi. Hellcat anyone? Find the story at The Fast Lane Car. Video after the jump!
Ram Overtakes Chevrolet in Sales
Since 2000, the monthly total pickup sales order has been Ford, Chevrolet and then Dodge/Ram. Not this past March. Ram passed Chevrolet in truck sales to take the number 2 spot. Jim Cain, a GM spokesman, was none too happy and displays poor taste with his response to the news “The 1980s called. They want their marketing strategy back…It’s really easy to deeply discount your truck, mine the subprime market and offer cheap lease deals to buy market share.” Nasty. Read more at Jalopnik.

Allpar research indicates a possible new long travel independent suspension system based on an old Jeep suspension. Find more detail at Allpar. SRT Viper Burns up Sebring
The recent running of the 12 hours of Sebring brought SRT some limited success with the number 93 Viper GTS-R finishing second in the GTLM class. The number 91 Viper finished seventh. The 13th lap saw Viper pilot Ben Keating’s car ignite after what appears to be a fuel leak. No injuries were reported and the fire crew learned to always park upwind of a burning car.
