I can deal with a lot of things when looking for a new old Mopar. Non-running is fine. A few states away is fine. Modifications? That’s ok, if they are reversible. Non-number matching? No biggie. Rust? Not a huge fan, but hey, when you are talking about something 40+ years old there might be a little rust. But a black Chevy spray bombed engine bay like the one on this 1970 Plymouth Satellite convertible on eBay? Instant turn off and deal breaker.

The latest installment of Roadkill has Freiburger and Finnegan competing at the 24 Hours of Lemons in a 1973 Plymouth Fury. I hate to see these boats ending up at demolition derbys and the like (I have a 1974 Fury) but I gotta admit, it’s damn entertaining! Video after the jump!
The 1970 Fury to me is the greatest C-barge ever. But I’m biased–I used to own one. What do you think? I’d love a black Sport Fury GT like this.
In a recent post about a Sox and Martin Barracuda that was for sale, I noted that since they only produced about 50 and that “these cars do not become available very often”. OK, I was wrong. While it doesn’t have the provenance of the Sox and Martin car, this non-numbers matching, Ray Barton built Hemi Barracuda is still one to lust after. See the details at Hemmings. This is one sick GTX! A 530 Hemi with a 12-71 blower, 727 with a trans brake, reverse shift manual valve body, 1200hp with 1050 fp of torque, a full custom chassis, tubbed motorized flip up front end with a reported $250,000 invested.
