1965 Plymouth Sport Fury Indy Pace Car For Sale on Hemmings
1965 was the first (and last) year that a Plymouth was selected as the Indianapolis 500 pace car. The chosen model was the Sport Fury convertible. There were 35 actual pace cars built for the race. Plymouth also produced one replica for each dealership in the country. That number varies between 1,300 and 1,900, depending on who you believe. See a very nice replica for sale on Hemmings. 1971 340 Plymouth Duster Headed For The Crusher
We at Rocket Restorations are heading down to the Fall Fling Mopar show in Van Nuys, California this weekend and hit some wrecking yards heading south.
In Northern California we found this real 340 Auto FY1 Yellow 1971 Plymouth Duster just sitting in a wrecking yard. We tried to buy the car but they said the paperwork had already been turned into the DMV and they would not sell the car whole. So many good parts on this one, it is still complete with the 340 motor and small block 727 transmission. They are selling parts off of it, but the car will have to be crushed, so sad. See more pictures after the jump.

A 1966 Satellite Named Stormy
You’re looking at a 1966 Plymouth Satellite still wearing it’s groovy lace paint job that was laid down in the mid 1970s. I’m digging the far out Cragars man! Just to make it perfect, it’s a factory Hemi car, topped by two Carter 4-bbls and backed up by an A833 4 speed. Get the details at MoparMax. More pictures after the jump!
