Heard of the Olympia Charger? This NASCAR Dodge ran the 24 hours of Le Mans back in 1976. It then returned in 2006 for the Le Mans Classic and has gone back several times since then! I have some great video from its run in the rain last year after the jump!

Vantastic ‘Cuda
I don’t know much about the Vantastic ‘Cuda other than it is awesome and lives in Europe. If you know French or want to mess with Google translate you can check out the Vantastic Racing website, and there is some more on the car here. But you definitely need to watch the video of this 8-second E-body after the jump!
Watch a Challenger SRT8 Walk Away from a Ferrari FF
You may remember Team Spankin Time from a video we posted last month of them spanking a McLaren MP4-12C. Well, they are not done humiliating supercars! Watch them leave a Ferrari FF after the jump! They also do the same thing to a 530 RWHP Z06. This Kenne Bell Supercharged Challenger runs 10s in street trim. Go Mopar!
1500 WHP Viper vs 1550 WHP Lamborghini Gallardo
Brute American muscle vs AWD Italian supercar. Both with aftermarket twin turbo setups. This took place last year at The Texas Invitation Roll Race. I’ll let you guess who won, but, well, this is Mopar Blog, so maybe you already figured that out… Video after the jump! Via Dodge Forum
Vintage Mopar NASCARs To Be Featured at the Concours d’Elegance of America
This year’s Concours d’Elegance of America at St. John’s will feature vintage NASCARs, including several very cool Mopars. Pictured below is the 1970 Plymouth Superbird formerly raced by Ramo Stott, which apparently was the first Superbird to score a victory in a NASCAR-sanctioned event at the 1970 ARCA 300 at Daytona. After the jump I have a pic of a very cool 1972 Dodge Challenger “Kit Car” developed by Petty Enterprises to help aspiring circle track racers. You can read a lot more about these cars and the other non-Mopar NASCARs to be displayed over at Hemmings.
Mopar “Drag N Brag” Racing Game Available in iTunes
Maybe this is just a new version, but this is the first time I’ve seen this cool little drag racing game from Mopar. I’ve only played it for a few minutes but it’s fun and of course FREE on iTunes, so if you have an iPhone or iPad you should check it out. Full press release after the jump!
Shut Down King: Ronnie Sox
BangShift just posted this awesome grainy old school video from 1966. A must-see for any Mopar fan. There’s some footage of the 1966 Winternationals with Ronnie Sox. Then watch a 4-speed Hemi 1966 Plymouth Satellite go up against the best of the era: 1966 Ford Fairlane 390, 1966 Pontiac GTO 389 and 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle 396. Can you guess which wins? Video after the jump!
Cotton Owens 1970 Dodge Charger Daytona For Sale
Although this Daytona has a spotty race history with a bunch of DNFs, it is also the first car to do a lap at NASCAR at over 200 MPH (with famed driver Buddy Baker behind the wheel). And it did score first place at the Darlington Southern 500, again with Buddy driving. I don’t see a price listed, but Bob Severin posted on our Facebook page that it’s listed at Canepa in Scotts Valley, Califonia for $850,000. It’s also totally unrestored, which is super cool. More pics after the jump!
Top Ten Finishes For Debuting SRT Viper GTS-Rs at the 24 Hours of Le Mans
Congrats to SRT for a great run for both Vipers in a brutal race! Final results here and you can read a good race summary at Speed! Check out more cool night racing shots after the jump!
SRT Viper GTS-R in the Pits!
Great shots from the track. They go through this drill every hour for each Viper. Lots more pics after the jump! Via SRT
