High Plains Raceway in Deer Trail, Colorado is a mile above sea level, which typically accounts for a 15 percept loss of horsepower. But a bone stock 2013 SRT Viper seemed to do just fine here, setting a new track record for a production car. This red car was a base SRT with just the Track Pack, which includes two-piece brake rotors, lighter wheels and Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires. SRT engineer Erich Heuschele set a record time of 1:57.69 on the 15-turn, 2.5-mile road course. Take that GT-R and ZR1! Check out the video after the jump! Via SRT

George Washington Drove a Dodge Challenger
Dodge produced this ad for the Dodge Challenger in 2010 before the USA played England in the World Cup. I thought I’d post it just in case any of you guys missed the first time around. And even if you’ve already seen it, it’s worth seeing again, especially on the 4th! Video after the jump!
Watch a Challenger SRT8 Spank a McLaren MP4-12C
Well, to be fair this daily driven SRT8 is Kenne bell supercharged and is pushing 802 RWHP. But it also weighs 4,540 pounds in race trim. So that 10.43 at 133mph is pretty impressive. Video after the jump! Via LXForums
A12 Road Runner Featured on Muscle Car of the Week
The narrator calls it a “440 six pack” when that was a Dodge thing. Plymouth went by “440 Six Barrel.” Still, a cool feature on a cool car, even if the guy never starts it up. Claimed to be the first A12 Road Runner produced, and the one Ronnie Sox drove to a 12.91 quarter mile at 111 mph. Probably doomed to be a trailer queen the rest of its live. Still, check out the video after the jump!

Most Famous Mopar Burnout on YouTube?
Well it has over 1 million views, so it’s gotta be up there. This “hearse” is a 1969 AMC Ambassador wagon with a blown 440. Right hand drive and somewhere in New Zealand. If you haven’t seen it, it’s worth a look. Video after the jump, plus two more with the same car.
1963 Chrysler Imperial Crown 2-Door Hardtop Video Review
I already showed you this guy’s review of a Plymouth Superbird. Well this time he takes a close look at a 1963 Chrysler Imperial. That is a lot of steel! There is a reason these things were banned from so many demolition derbies (though that generally applies to the 1964 – 1968 cars)! Video after the jump!
