We’ve featured a lot of weird non-Mopar Hemi swaps. But this is the first time we’ve featured a Mopar with non-Mopar power. This 1971 Scamp was apparently rescued from an Arizona scrapyard. Take a 1969 Dodge Charger and drive it into a concrete wall at 100 MPH and it will look like this. Not sure this crash test proved much, though, and I can’t find any info on why this test was done. Cars have gotten a lot safer since then, but I doubt a new car could save anyone with that kind of impact. Via StreetLegalTV

Ok, so we’ve seen a few odd Daytona conversions lately. There was this 1974 Dodge Charger “Daytona” on Craigslist. Then there was this 1973 Dodge Charger “Daytona” on eBay. But those were both fairly recent. This is an older conversion. It looks like they started with a 1969 Dodge Coronet or Super Bee. This one is seriously 70s funky. Here’s another weird Daytona conversion for you guys. Two weeks ago I showed you this 1974 Dodge Charger “Daytona” on Craigslist. Well here’s a ’73 that was listed on eBay last week. Looks like it was bid up to $4,000 with the reserve not met. I don’t know, I’m thinking the seller should have taken the money and run. Lets see, this Plymouth B-body has a a GTX deck lid panel, Road Runners on the doors and… Super Bee stripes???? (Not to mention the dreaded Chevy black spray bomb engine bay.) The guys at Moparts are calling it a “Bee-T-X.” Cool car, though, so the $11,500 asking price doesn’t seem totally unreasonable. Someone should get it and take it to a good therapist ASAP. Not sure this is Mopar news, exactly, but it’s some pretty creative adverting from Fiat. I guess this is the Fiat version of a muscle car. Video on the making of the ad after the jump!
