3.6L Pentastar Engine Recall
Chrysler is recalling more than 900,000 vehicles for two separate defects. The 3.6L engine, when combined with the 160 amp alternator, may pose a fire hazard. Vehicles affected include the 300, Charger, Challenger, Durango and Grand Cherokee. Wranglers equipped with heated mirrors are also being recalled due to a possible fire hazard. New replacement parts for 1972-93 Dodge 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton pickups, as well as Ramchargers, are now available through LMC Truck. Hot Rod magazine’s Ryan Brutt stumbled upon a shop that appears to specialize in Mopars.
