Why is this man covered in bubble wrap? Watch the Autobytel video review after the jump and find out! (It’s refreshing to see a Viper review that seems to get the point of this car.)
1970 Dodge Challenger R/T Barn Find on eBay
Barn Finds spied this 1970 Challenger R/T survivor on eBay. It is equipped with its original 440 and 727. Reportedly last licenced in 1989, it was pulled from its tomb and given a mechanical refresh including the brakes and fuel system. They were, however, apparently careful not to remove the dust. Follow the bidding here on eBay. I wonder what kind of reserve this beauty has. More pics after the jump!
Viper-Powered Honda S2000
Now here’s a Honduh a Mopar fan could love. This S2000 is powered by a Viper V10! Can’t believe it fit! Craigslist ad text plus two more pics after the jump! Worth $27,000?
2015 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack Review
The New York Times reviewed the new Challenger R/T Scat Pack and liked what they saw. Read the review here. Video after the jump!
Iginition Reviews the 2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat
Carlos Lago of Motor Trend’s Ignition puts the Challenger Hellcat through its paces–dyno, street, strip and runway. Says Carlos: “In terms of acceleration, boulevard cruising and the size of the crowd that forms around it when you park, this Challenger Hellcat can’t be anything but the king of todays muscle cars.” Well said! Video after the jump!
Slant Six 1969 Plymouth Fury III on Craigslist
BangShift has found this clean but dusty (is that even possible?) 1969 Fury III on Craigslist. This car is very unusual in that, while the Fury III was near the top of the Fury lineup, it’s equipped with a slant 6 and a manual three speed! Chrysler’s six was a war horse but in a 1969 C-body? Can you say sluggish acceleration? Find the original Craigslist ad here. More pics after the jump!
Backyard of Dreams
No indication of where these Mopars reside but they’re not getting the respect they deserve. As found at Cars In Barns.
2015 Chrysler 300C
Allpar has a photo of the new 2015 Chrysler 300 that was apparently released by Chrysler in error. There are only minor changes to the exterior with the front end being cleaned up a bit. Find more info at Allpar.
Aerodynamics and the Charger SRT Hellcat
Why does the Charger Hellcat hit 204 mph while the Challenger Hellcat can “only” manage 199 mph? It’s that damn atmosphere! Read more about how engineers tweaked the Charger’s body to make it slice through the air as efficiently as possible at Street Legal TV.
Ultra Low Mileage Dodges at Auction
Four ultra low mileage 80’s Dodge vehicles went across the block at a recent Mecum auction. The tem “low mileage” may be misleading. The 1987 Daytona has just 22 miles, the 1986 Lancer has 28 miles, the 1988 Colt Vista wagon has 41 miles, and the high mileage (for this group) 1984 Mini Ram conversion van has a whopping 71 miles! While they’re not Hemi ‘Cudas or Superbirds, these time capsules are still somewhat intriguing. Find more info at Hemmings. More pics after the jump!
