A new suspension for the next rendition of the Jeep Wrangler (2017 model year?) continues to generate stories. SRT Viper Burns up Sebring
The recent running of the 12 hours of Sebring brought SRT some limited success with the number 93 Viper GTS-R finishing second in the GTLM class. The number 91 Viper finished seventh. The 13th lap saw Viper pilot Ben Keating’s car ignite after what appears to be a fuel leak. No injuries were reported and the fire crew learned to always park upwind of a burning car. Reader’s Rides: Steven Mick’s 1972 Plymouth Duster
Today’s reader’s ride is Steven Mick’s 1972 Plymouth Duster. It started out as a Slant 6 car with a 904 auto and a 7.25 rear end. But now it has a 360 (out of a 1977 Chrysler Cordoba), Keith Black flat head pistons, Mopar Performance Purple Shaft Camshaft, MP High Rise single plain intake manifold, ported and polished original heads, Edelbrock AVS 750cfm 4brl carb, A833 4 spd transmission and a 8.75 rear end. Steven says, “I still have work that I would like to do but with some fine tuning still needed she runs great!” More pics after the jump!

Meet the HellCat Logo
SRT staff were spotted at Springfest wearing t-shirts with this logo. Presumably, this is what a HellCat looks like. Per Allpar, peak output of the new engine is rumored to beat the Viper’s V10!

New Challenger in May?
So the last rumor had the debut of the new Challenger at the Southern California LX Club. That didn’t happen. The next possible venue is the New York Auto Show in mid-April but Ralph Gilles says that the car’s reveal is still two and a half months away. The Challenger, Charger and 300 are all getting a refresh for the 2015 model year. The Challenger is expected first. Find more info at Allpar.
