There are two ways to make a Viper faster; more power and/or less weight. In the “less weight” department, carbon fiber is a favorite. This Viper is debuting at SEMA, and has been treated to a diet program thanks to Vivid Racing. Bits include a new hood, front lip, canards, side skirts, front diffuser, tail light surround and carbon fiber wing. Also some very tasty Niche wheels. See more at Carbuzz. 1996 Chrysler Sebring Project: Part 1
For those of you who don’t know me, I’m a designer by trade, do mechanical work and light restorations on the side, and have blogged elsewhere. Yes it’s not the most stellar model to roll off the assembly line, it has its quirks and shortcomings but on the whole I have no regrets, keeping in mind I will sell it in the springtime, the next scheduled sale in an ongoing list of cars, that is my life.

A Wrangler With Independent Suspension?
There’s a persistent rumor that Jeep may be looking at losing the 2016 Wrangler’s solid axles in favor of an independent setup to lower weight and improve mileage. Jeep’s brand manager acknowledged the rumors and will not deny them. I fear another sanitized SUV for the masses. Find more detail on The Truth About Cars.

Vin Diesel’s Charger from 2001’s “The Fast and The Furious” (the first installment) is up for sale.
