Am I the only one who finds Top Gear annoying? Seems like everyone thinks this show is brilliant, but I find it painful to watch. This episode with Richard Hammond reviewing a 1968 Dodge Charger 440 R/T is especially painful. Maybe they should stick to European cars. The BBC only makes a small clip available, but there is a full episode in Russian on YouTube (least until the BBC makes YouTube pull it down). But you can watch the official BBC clip after the jump!

Triple Black
Most people agree that triple black = black paint, black interior and black vinyl top (or black convertible top). Makes for one mean combo, especially on a Mopar. There was a great thread on this option combo on Moparts recently, with pics of some very cool Mopars like this triple black 1968 Dodge Cornonet R/T. More examples after the jump, including triple black ‘Cudas and Challengers!

Dodge Coronets in the Arizona Desert
A few old Mopars scattered in the hot Arizona sun. These are all ’68 or ’69 Coronets. There’s a 1968 Coronet 500, a 1969 Coronet R/T and a 1969 Super Bee. Prices listed in the thread on DodgeCharger.com seem crazy high but you never know… Lots more pics after the jump!
Demented Dart
Here’s another one from Barrett Jackson–this one from the 2012 Scottsdale auction. Price was set at $176,000 but there is no indication of whether or not it sold. Apparenlty this was the only Hemi Dart exported to Canada and it raced quite successfully as the “Demented Dart.” At some point it lost the cool blue paint scheme you see here in favor for red. You can see the pics of what it looked like at the time of auction after the jump!

Make a Wish Charger
How cool is this? The Make-A-Wish Foundation just finished the restoration of this 1968 Dodge Charger for teenage cancer patient Matthew Wood in Canyon, Minnesota. Matthew was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma and he, his brother and father had not been able to make much progress on the Charger they had acquired ten years ago. Morrie’s Automotive Group took over, repainted the car and rebuilt the original 318 drivetrain. They completed the 600 man-hour job just two weeks ago and gave Matthew the keys. As you might imagine, Matthew was thrilled. Major props to everyone involved. One more pics after the jump! Via Hemmings
Best Burnout Picture Ever?
I found this 1968 Dodge Charger burnout pic on the internet a while ago and saved it down to my desktop. I don’t know who’s car this is or who took the pic but it rules. I have the wallpaper size here. Have you found a better burnout pic?
