Five 1987 Shelby Charger GLHS’s Up For Auction

Considering they only built 1,000 1987 Shelby Charger GLHS’s, finding five of them in one place is pretty amazing. Condition varies from driver quality to project cars needing full restos, but this auction is definitely worth a look for fans of these cars. And for those not familiar with these cool 80s Mopars, there is some good into here. The car pictured below is car #55 of 1,000 with 88,500 original miles. The auction takes place on June 19. Make a Wish Charger

How cool is this? The Make-A-Wish Foundation just finished the restoration of this 1968 Dodge Charger for teenage cancer patient Matthew Wood in Canyon, Minnesota. Matthew was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma and he, his brother and father had not been able to make much progress on the Charger they had acquired ten years ago. Morrie’s Automotive Group took over, repainted the car and rebuilt the original 318 drivetrain. They completed the 600 man-hour job just two weeks ago and gave Matthew the keys. As you might imagine, Matthew was thrilled. Major props to everyone involved. One more pics after the jump! Via Hemmings

Original Dukes of Hazzard General Lee at 2013 Mopars Unlimited Spring Roundup

What Mopar show would be complete without a General Lee? But this one is legit and fully documented. It was used during the last few seasons of the show, has had the same owner the last 20+ years and is unchanged from the day it left the Warner Brothers lot. More pics plus video after the jump!

Wing Cars at the 2013 Mopars Ulimited Spring Roundup

There was a good wing car turnout as always at the 2013 Mopars Ulimited Spring Roundup. And as always, sometimes some of the coolest cars are not in the show–they are just sitting in the parking lot like this badass black Daytona! More pics after the jump!

You think Vin Diesil’s Daytona is cool? What about Joe Dirt’s Daytona? There is a great writeup on this car over at Californiaclassix. Can you believe the original movie car sold for just $18,000 back in 2002?

Joe Dirt fans should also check out our blog on Joe Dirt’s 1967 GTX convertible. Oh, and check out the video after the jump!
