Fallen Officer’s Charger up for Auction

Weld County, Colo. Deputy Sheriff Sam Brownlee was killed in 2010 during a police chase. When his police car went up for auction, his two sons planned to buy it as a way of remembering their dad. Things didn’t quite go as planned when another bidder ran the bidding up to $60,000 (for a car valued at $12,500!) but all was not lost. Find more info at The Truth About Cars. A Graveyard of Rare Dodges

Lucas Marquardt takes us on a video tour of a veritable field of dreams in the back lot of an undisclosed location. It consists of a 1969 Coronet R/T 440, a 1968 Hemi Charger, a 1969 Hemi Charger, a 1969 Charger 500, a 1968 318 Charger and two first generation Chargers! Unfortunately, of the 68’s and 69’s, only one has a powertrain; a big block in place of it’s original 426. Find more info at Street Legal TV. Video after the jump!

Five Mopars in One Barn Find on Craigslist

BangShift has alerted us to one incredible barn find. Five, count ’em, five Mopars! While the “barn” is more of a storage facility, with concrete walls and floor, that’s nothing but good news as far as the condition of the finds; two 1970 Chargers, a 1971 340 Cuda, a Super Bee and a Dart Swinger! Find the Craigslist ad here. More pics after the jump!

2015 Charger R/T Scat Pack

So your significant other refuses to let you buy a Hellcat. “The constant whining is crazy!” You’re not sure if they mean you or the Dodge. If you have to compromise, tell them you’ll settle for the lowly, normally aspirated Charger Scat Pact. Autoweek does a short review of the Scat Pack. “…how does it drive? About how you’d think 485 hp propelling 4,400 pounds would drive—it gets up and goes.” Read the review here. More pics after the jump!

The Other Auction – Gooding & Company

Lots of auctions are going on during auction week in Phoenix.  Barrett-Jackson and Russo and Steele are the biggest but Gooding is pretty big, too. They tend to have more high end and European cars but they had a couple of Mopars. Of course we had to check them out…

One Mopar was a 1970 Dodge Charger R/T.  Was not so impressed with this car as it was missing its fender tag and was a 440-4 car.  It is a 4-speed car though. Auction estimate was $80-100k!
