Vin Diesel’s Charger from 2001’s “The Fast and The Furious” (the first installment) is up for sale. The 440, fake blower-equipped 1970 Charger is still wearing battle scars from its collision with a semi at the end of the movie. Would you leave it that way or rebuild it? Check out what Vin Diesel told the guys at Top Gear:
“I felt like the Daytona spoke to the character,” Diesel said. “It’s always a big process picking the cars and the casting of the car normally reflects the state of mind of our characters.”
Director Justin Lin also thought it was the perfect car for this film:
“The Daytona is a car I had been looking at for the last three Fast & Furious films but they never felt right,” Lin explained. “It did for this one.”
