2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Info Session
Now that the cat is out of the bag (sorry), Dodge is only too happy to discuss that engine (except horsepower ratings), styling cues and performance features of the SRT Hellcat. Find more info at Street Legal TV. Video after the jump!
2015 Challenger Hellcat Blower Whine
There have been several video’s showcasing the 2015 Challenger Hellcat’s furious active exhaust. Find such examples here and here. Now it’s time to listen to the source of that anarchy. As found on autoevolution. Video after the jump!
More Challenger SRT Sound Clips
A group of Challenger SRTs, doing some (high altitude?) testing in Colorado, were nice enough to demonstrate the different exhaust notes between the 6.4 and the 6.2 Hellcat. Hint: the Hellcat is red. Find more info at autoevolution. Videos after the jump.
Some Hellcat Engine Details Released
Dodge has released more information and photos of their new supercharged powerplant. One little tidbit: “The fuel system has an in-tank pump that accommodates variable pressures, half-inch fuel lines and eight high-flow injectors that can drain the car’s 18.5-gallon fuel tank in just 13 minutes when the engine is running at full power.” Strangely, that should not be impressive but it is. Challenger SRT Hellcat Exhaust Note
The 2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat has an active exhaust system that limits decibels at low rpm but becomes less restrictive as you get into higher revs. Check out autoevolution for more info. Videos after the jump!
Hellcat to Debut in August

Update: Motor Trend Calls BS on these Spy Shots
LeftLane has some photos of what appears to be the 2015 Challenger Hellcat, replete with bulging hood and cold air intake. Now that the “run-of-the-mill” 2015 Challengers have been released, they seem to have relaxed their guard re the front and rear covers. The unique hood is a tip off to something special lurking beneath. You can also see SRT on the wheel centers with some serious Brembo brake calipers behind. More pics after the jump!
