Although this Daytona has a spotty race history with a bunch of DNFs, it is also the first car to do a lap at NASCAR at over 200 MPH (with famed driver Buddy Baker behind the wheel). And it did score first place at the Darlington Southern 500, again with Buddy driving. I don’t see a price listed, but Bob Severin posted on our Facebook page that it’s listed at Canepa in Scotts Valley, Califonia for $850,000. It’s also totally unrestored, which is super cool. Dodge Scores a Win in NASCAR Canadian Tire Series
Pete Shepherd III won the EMCO 200 at the Delaware, Ontario Speedway this weekend, driving the #7 Dodge Challenger. He took the lead after 150 laps and held on to win. “The car was awesome. We knew if we could stay out of trouble early on that we could race for the win at the end.” Dodge was dominant in this race: seven of the top ten finishers were Dodge cars. Via Allpar
Dodge Coming Back to NASCAR in 2014?
And the answer is… probably not. Allpar ran this story over the weekend, getting everyone’s hope up, but then retracted it yesterday. Well, one can hope…
