1971 Hemi GTX Factory Sunroof Car

This car was just featured in the May issue of Muscle Car Review. It is a very rare sunroof car and is absolutely loaded with options. In fact, the owner claims it is the most expensive Hemi car ever produced–sticker was $6,592.75 (base price on a 1971 Plymouth GTX was $3,737). Stunning 1970 Plymouth Hemi ‘Cuda on eBay

The seller lists this heavily documented, fully restored Hemi ‘Cuda as “investment grade” and it seems to have everything going for it except the original engine. I love the Ivy Green Metallic with brown leather interior, but I’m guessing many collectors might find this combo less desirable than some of the high impact colors available that year. The car is listed at $189,900. Not chump change! More pics after the jump and be sure to check out the auction at eBay!

Update: didn’t make the reserve so it’s still on sale at the dealer’s website.

Crazy Pro Touring 1972 Plymouth Satellite on eBay

This thing has all the goodies from modern 6.1 Hemi power to big Willwood brakes. Wheels are custom Boze Alloy with Yokohama Advan STs–235/55R18 front and 305/45R20 rear. External mods include a ’72 Road Runner grille and a tucked ’71 Road Runner bumper. I dig the fiberglass hood with the old school Air Grabber. See more pics after the jump and check out the auction at eBay!

Update: it got bid up to $35,300 but reserve not met. Is the pro touring thing played out?

Movie Mopar of the Week: 1970 Plymouth Superbird in Dazed and Confused

Ok, here’s an obscure one. Most people who watched Dazed and Confused are gonna remember Matthew McConaughey’s 1970 Chevelle. But do you remember this black wing car? I sure don’t! Need to watch it again, I guess. We’ll come back to Ben Affleck’s 1973 Plymouth Duster later. Trailer after the jump! Pic via IMCDB

Stolen 1971 Plymouth ‘Cuda Convertible Recovered Thanks to Forum

A white 383 automatic ’71 ‘Cuda vert (similar to the one below, but no billboards) was stolen out of a garage in New Jersey back in March. The theives literally dragged the E-body out of the garage in park and put on a flatbed. Then in mid-April the owner posted a description along with the car’s VIN on Moparts. Within a few days another Moparts member posted the following:

3 weeks ago, a gentleman came by my house through a friend to pick an antique desk, I was giving away. He noticed all my Mopars in my garage, then proceeded to tell me his brother has a 71 Cuda convertible, 383, all numbers matching, white, with 8 track, wearing in his words ” non Hemi fenders; no gills” !! Coincidence?? He said he has had the car over 20 yrs, bought it from estate sale. I’ve been a known mopar guy in my parts for 30 yrs; I know of most , if not all Mopars on the Island. I was surprised, after speaking to this guy , I never heard of this one. I will try to get you the info.

And guess what? It turned out the be the car after all! The thieves had sold the car without a title for $3,000. The owner got his car back thanks to the sleuths at Moparts.

2001 Plymouth Prowler on eBay

Talk about a creampuff! This thing has just 1,200 miles and looks great in Bright Silver Metallic! Chrysler built just 3,124 of these in 2001 and 11,702 in total. Yes, these only have V6 power, but I still think they are cool and will always be unique. More pics after the jump and be sure to check out the auction at eBay.

Update: looks like the Prowler only got bid up to $20,101. Not even close to the $35,877 Buy It Now.
